Scam emails and fake invoices have been sent by someone calling themselves “Victoria MacDuff”, falsely claiming to be a Partner at Bird & Bird LLP and demanding payment of supposed unpaid professional fees. These messages misuse the firm’s name and address and come from fraudulent email accounts, including accounts@twobirdslaw.onmicrosoft.com, dd@lwllp.site, vmc@lwllp.site, and dv@lwllp.site

“Cloning” means they copy a real law firm’s website, or identity, sometimes verbatim. To the untrained eye, the copy can look as real as the genuine website they are copying.
