Fraudulent emails from emily@silverstonelaws.co.uk are impersonating a genuine law firm, misusing the firm’s name, address, and SRA ID. The emails instruct recipients to pay funds to a bank account named Lepar Ltd, which is not associated with the firm, and also misuse the name of Emily Howard, a paralegal who is not SRA-regulated.

“Cloning” means they copy a real law firm’s website, or identity, sometimes verbatim. To the untrained eye, the copy can look as real as the genuine website they are copying.
