Scam emails from carlgallagher917@gmail.com are impersonating a genuine solicitor and law firm, claiming to act for an individual whose betting account is allegedly being closed. The emails misuse the solicitor’s name, the firm’s logo, phone number, website, and head office address, and demand repayment of funds to avoid legal action.

“Cloning” means they copy a real law firm’s website, or identity, sometimes verbatim. To the untrained eye, the copy can look as real as the genuine website they are copying.
